2020 student brief - For the long term
When doing research into what has the highest environmental impact on our planned, I was astounded at how much waste comes from the agricultural industry. Furthermore, what percentage of that is solely from the consumption of meat and animals’ products. It was described, I needed to design something that made people aware of the issue and be able to make them understand what impact they are having, and more importantly, engage with them and get the population to make a change.
I designed and conceptualised an app which people would use to track their meat consumption and what effects different meat products had. The app would also allow them to see how alternatives that they are using would benefit the planet and the future for people besides ourselves.
